DOUBLE-DISC GRINDING (DOUBLE-SIDE GRINDING, DOUBLE-SIDE FACE GRINDING)

Efficient through-feed grinding

Double-disc grinding, double-side grinding or double-side face grinding designates a grinding process during which components are guided through two grinding wheels. During all three procedures, the opposing surfaces of the workpiece are ground at the same time, making double-side grinding the suitable process for large-scale mass production. This process delivers maximum efficiency and highest quality at the same time. With our disc-grinding machines, an output of about 9,000 finished parts per hour can be achieved. We process workpieces such as stamped and fine-blanked parts, bent and formed parts, MIM and PM parts and many others. The materials we can process by double-side grinding include steel and stainless steel, cast steel, hard metal or non-ferrous metals, ceramics, glass, plastics and rubber.

Quality and quantity: Double-side face grinding with state-of-the-art machinery

Even in mass production, our state-of-the-art double-side grinding machinery works with the highest possible precision and delivers the parts needed in top quality. Workpieces with diameters of 15 mm to 400 mm are given the perfect finish with a thickness tolerance and a flatness of 0.02 mm.
